We have released the flare9.com system demo out for public view. Again Flare9.com is powered by wordpress, yet we have made changes to the system to suit the needs of our model, most notable is the multi page type w/ multi editable regions plugin we have created. This plugin hacks the default tinymce editor and wp template system to allows us to choose from a variety of content formats (2 column equal width vs. 2 column left side 75%) and allows tinymce to power content editing in both those regions. Late in the afternoon on Feb 20th 2007, our trusty team of 18 beta testers were allowed access to the flare9.com website builder system. The testing period will run approx 2 weeks while we work with our testers to get those last enhancements and bugs fixes done. We expect to roll live early March. A big thanks got out to our beta team.
Now that your website has been created on the flare9.com system here are a few things to get you rolling.
One of the first things you may wish to do is remove the default “Sample Widget Company” information we have placed into the site. To do so, login to your website and click Manage > Pages and you may then click Delete to remove a page, or Edit to edit that page.
